August newsletter out

Since we started out, we've been having a newsletter coming out every now and then and it was a really nice way to connect directly with y'all through mail, and not necessarily having to be in the claws of various social media channels and algorithms and all that. We used to have an old typewriter, where people could sign up and took the trust quite seriously and putting a fair portion of effort into these letters.

Then a few years ago I accidentally deleted our complete mailing list due to some kind of brainslip clusterfuck. Not more “accidentally” though than that I, with the determination that would’ve made a psychotic beaver jealous, wrote “PERMANENTLY DELETE” (all caps and everything) on side after side of hundreds and hundreds of addresses that we with great diligence had been collecting over a couple of decades - mostly on an old rather heavy typewriter that we’d been dragging along everywhere we went. It was a bit of a stupid day somehow. 

Now slowly recovering from the meltdown and in the process of setting up this new website and generally trying to clean up a bit here at home, I’ve come across some of the old lists that we’ve saved and started recovering the list, and we’re now rolling again. The first mail went out yesterday and it felt good to feel the connection, getting replies and high-fives.
